jpeg optimizer Designer 1 2

☘️Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC) and China International Contractors Association (CHINCA) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during Singapore Convention Week 2024, signed by Mr. Xin Xiuming, Vice President of CHINCA, and SIMC’s CEO, Mr. Wee Meng Chuan.

☘️CHINCA, a prominent national organization in China, represents enterprises engaged in international contracting and investment. Since its inception in 1988, it has been instrumental in advancing Chinese companies in global construction and investment. With approximately 1,500 member corporations—over 1,000 of which are involved in international project engineering—CHINCA’s influence spans more than 190 countries and regions.

☘️The MOU seeks to promote the wider adoption of mediation, specifically in the sectors of international project engineering, construction, and investment. This partnership will enhance cross-border dispute resolution, particularly in relation to the Belt and Road Initiative. The collaboration will include cross-referral of commercial disputes, as well as joint efforts in training and promoting mediation.

☘️In attendance to witness the signing were representatives from seven Singapore-based Chinese companies, all members of CHINCA: MCC Singapore, China Communications Construction Co., Ltd. , China Harbour Engineering Co. Ltd, Qingjian International (South Pacific) Group Development Co., Pte Ltd, Shanghai Tunnel Engineering and Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, CHINA STATE CONSTRUCTION (CSCEC) and LiuGong Machinery.

☘️This MOU marks the beginning of a strong partnership between SIMC and CHINCA, paving the way to promote mediation when resolving disputes in the international construction and engine sector.
